Pros

You are working on a pretty incredible product that has positive impact globally

Cons

There is this holdover culture from the early startup days when employees had to work crazy hours - even though we are late stage, people are still pulling late nights consistently. Management sends messages at all times of day with no acknowledgement of boundaries between work and personal lives. Often, the late night work is not necessary but is perpetuated by the early joiners who impose it on the rest of their team. This creates a toxic work culture, especially in a remote world where boundaries are more important than ever. Also there is no built in performance evaluation. The managers take no stake in the success of their subordinates and the path to career advancement is not clear

Pros

Incredibly supportive management. Extremely healthy work environment. Company culture is top notch. Benefits are well above market average. Using PTO is encouraged, and when on PTO general duties are handled by supportive coworkers.

Cons

Extremely fast-paced environment. Real-time issues can arise, and can be stressful to resolve. Remote work can feel isolating, however, managers and coworkers are extremely easy to reach.

Pros

Most people you work with are nice, PTO is respected.

Cons

No strategy to speak of, the product is not good other than the acquisitions. Customers are treated poorly. C-suite is extremely tone deaf. Decisions come randomly from above with no bearing on what people are doing. There is no review cycle on purpose, the only people who get raises have other offers so many people are leaving. Which is a good idea because the stock price is down so all RSUs are underwater. Most teams are horribly overworked and underpaid and the one day a week lunch is getting worse.
