Cons

The company does not really value their employees. VS is tanking and will cut store level employees pay and give the store minimal payroll hours to save any money they can. The way we are running our business is basically 1 or 2 coverage on the floor at all times. Customers get neglected, shoplifters run wild and employees are stressed out. Work/life balance sucks and you are completely drained at the end of your day. The pressure from upper management is insane. Their priorities are on the wrong things. Working at VS is not the end all be all and it’s best to get out while you can!!!

Pros

Great overall culture, I worked at corporate for 12 years and there were ups and downs but overall it was a great decision to work there! I had several amazing managers that were more like mentors. HR was pretty helpful with career development and helping. I was part of a reorg and the company actually set me up with a recruiter and did an amazing job finding me more than one role. If you have the chance work here, they care about development as well. The benefits are great! If you get the chance work here.

Have met some amazing coworkers. Brand itself is fun.

Cons

Sudden Return to Work mandate 3 days in NY or OH SIX years after COVID. Any current employees outside of those states are being let go if they don’t uproot their lives and relocate. Many employees in those states built their lives around what seemed to be a permanent remote flexibility arrangement (most companies went back in 23). When Hillary Super came on she even stated in one of her first Q&A’s on remote work that where people do their jobs wasn’t a big concern for her as long as we continued to drive the business forward. The business is doing the best it ever has in the last five years. Leadership reasoning for mandate is continuing to fall flat. Mandate came absolutely out of NOWHERE.
