Pros
Some of the best reasons would be the free items, the discounted items, and the employee discount. The ability to make and change your availability is a pro. Thats about it sadly.
Cons
Terrible pay for employees from a company that makes so much money per year; minimum wage terrible. They care more about customers than they do about employees. Meetings are all about the customers and how to sell to the customers, never concerned about the employees. Expect a raise only once a year and its not much at all. Discussion of specific pay is grounds for termination from what i've heard. There are disparities in pay amongst experienced employees, friends of the manager, and new hires with no experience... Favoritism runs rampant. You may end up working with a lot of friends and family of the store manager. You are not paid on commission. Sales are made so that money is made to reach goals. If the goals are reached, there is no reward for the employees, only a better chance of getting more hours to work or a better chance of not getting your hours cut. Employees work hard to make the sales and only the real managers are rewarded with bonuses from what i've heard. To me employees are overworked and underpaid for this huge company. Can't wait until I start a real job with real benefits, salary, and 401K.
