Pros

Nothing to note here now

Cons

• Pay structure was severely nerfed to compensate for over-extended store acquisition expenses and year-over-year reduced foot traffic. This has happened 4 times since Q3 2025. The last time before I quit was abhorrent. • Multiple incidents of dishonest pay-period sales metrics that are supposedly percentage based but then you pull the raw numbers behind the percentage and calculate it yourself and it doesn’t math out. Brought it up to upper management and was treated like a black sheep and written up for; • AI generated scheduling. In April 2026, the company reset all religious accommodations and schedule restrictions accords the entire company of reps. My schedule restriction was from a written hiring condition agreement as I explained I couldn’t work here if I had to work on certain days of the week due to having multiple jobs and family obligations. I presented this to management as was told “tough luck, join the line”. • AI-powered cameras; there’s new cameras that track whether or not you’re doing every single aspect of your job. Offering 10 accessories, showing 5 live, and demoing 3 products like speakers, iPads and watches. The camera triggers an email alert if you’re in the bathroom for more than 5 minutes, or if you step outside to take a phone call for more than 5 minutes and forget to clock out even if there’s no customers in the store. Every single aspect of the job is micromanaged. They track your time punches and location by using an app on your phone that requires Location Permissions Always On • The CEO Rich Balot sends emails talking about how many people he had to fire due to integrity issues, then insists he has an open door policy. However, my emails expressing my concern over the multiple incidents of being scammed from bonuses and accelerators due to faulty metric reports went unanswered. I have a feeling it’s a no-reply inbox.

Pros

There are some good people who work there. Unfortunately there are a lot more who are not

Cons

Victra has no real concept of work-life balance. I heard multiple people in leadership refer to it as “work-life integration,” which felt less like a benefit and more like a warning label. As an experienced recruiter, I was brought in for a project that was poorly planned from a staffing standpoint from the beginning. It was surprising to learn that some of the leadership involved had no formal background in recruiting, staffing, or HR, despite making decisions that directly impacted those functions. The company often seemed to take a reactive approach to problems instead of building thoughtful, preventative strategies. I heard the phrase “building airplanes in the sky” used more than once, and unfortunately, that seemed to reflect the actual operating model: move fast, figure it out later, and let employees absorb the chaos. The culture felt heavily rooted in grind/hustle expectations, with little regard for sustainability or employee well-being. There are talented people there, but the leadership approach makes it difficult to feel supported, valued, or set up for long-term success.
