Constantly changing schedule. Sometimes with less than a days notice. No option is given. EVERYTHING is your fault. Always. There is no explanation as to why sales are low, other than you are not doing your job properly. The other reviews are not exaggerating one bit. If you work here, prepare to be constantly threatened and intimidated. You had better have a perfect sale. Every time. Or else.
Upper management is not willing to work with consultants to help better their sales. They only know how to threaten because thats how this company operates. On a conference call, Upper management actually blamed the bad glassdoor reviews for A Wireless on "poor performing employees who have no one to blame but themselves". Again, they are not accountable. Ever. The blunt of everything wrong with the company is blamed solely on the sales consultants. Its clear that they are not even willing to review any of the issues that may be caused by higher ups or just the way the CEO runs his company in general.
Pricing is outrageous and not competitive whatsoever. A wireless is maybe the only cellular store I have ever seen that offers no free phones. Customers constantly walk out and take their business elsewhere. And who can blame them? Its pretty common knowledge that you can get free, penny or dollar phones anywhere when upgrading. We lose customers everyday because of the non competitive pricing.
And yes, the other reviews are true. A Wireless does NOT pay its employees for extra work that they require you to do. And regardless of what they say, it is required. You are told via email and by upper management that off the clock conference calls are mandatory. I wish I kept track of the time I have spent on calls in the 3 years I have worked for this company. They would owe me a lot of compensation. The same with GroupMe. You are told that it is required to be checked on your days off. Those who do not participate on days off are talked to about it.
The mandatory "greeting" is ridiculous. Most people do not want to shake your hand. Especially during cold and flu season.
