Pros

- The mission is very meaningful as we directly help 10s of thousands of members with difficult conditions like obesity and diabetes. - I feel like I am able to make a major impact within both the product development and clinical delivery functions. - Get to work on very challenging problems that come with creating a virtual health clinic. - I’m regularly encouraged by the team to raise the bar for myself and for the company (which isn’t always easy!)

Cons

- There have been major ups and downs over last 4 years with the pandemic driving demand for virtual care and then subsequent macro job market impacts. We are stabilizing with a positive outlook, but it’s definitely been a roller coaster. - Creating a virtual cardiometabolic clinic with a distributed workforce is inspiring, but can be very challenging as the world figures out the new way to work. - Being so close to the frontlines of care delivery, even on the engineering teams, can make prioritization decision trade-offs complex.

Pros

Decent pay and benefits and they provide you with equipment. It's a startup so there is definitely room to grow, my supervisor had only been with the company for 2 years! It was great being part of such a community driven to help people. I liked working in the startup environment, from marketing professionals, to MDs we all could give eachother tips, encouragement, and support in a slack channel. It was great to experience the company like a community, in my last job we could only speak within our bubble of teams.

Cons

The training process was very difficult because they don't send you equipment until after you complete training. I had to download a whole CRM system on my 6 year old Mac Sequoia and my computer has never recovered. Also there can be a lot of misinformation, you'll be told one process by someone and then be critiqued by someone else that it was incorrect, needless to say sometimes instructions were not very clear. I think it would help if they extended their training beyond 1 week. I do want to specify that the person in charge of the trainees is great and very diligent, the issue is with company policy and not an indvidual.
