Decent experience overall but some major issues - Anonymous employee Villanova University Employee Review

- President's handling of back-to-campus plan in midst of Covid-19 was a disaster. Staff and faculty received different and conflicting info at last minute and were expected to come back on campus full-time for a week and THEN get tested the following week. Testing occurred in a crowded gymnasium. The whole thing really made no sense. - Lack of telecommuting/schedule flexibility - HR tends to be ultra-conservative and untrusting of employees (they even question sick days/you are sometimes asked to provide a doctor's note) - Villanova doesn't recognize domestic partnerships, a major equity issue. - Leadership is a very mixed bag and largely depends on department/school. Many departments/school heads are either given too much power or very little (very inconsistent) - Compensation tends on the low side - Many building facilities are dilapidated
