Pros
There are many distinct pros/cons for each position, but I will only speak to LPHA as it is the only position I have had at Vinfen. Great pay for the field for LPHA positions. Good benefits and flexibility for time off. Great opportunity to work with a wide-range of adult patient populations, and collaboration with many other Boston-based human-service organizations. Good work environment for people who want each day to be different, and have strong self-management and organizational skills with opportunity for a fair amount of autonomy around scheduling. Strong team collaboration which helps make the work place feel familial. Company will pay for CEUs.
Cons
Workload, as designed, is too high for an individual and consistently requires more than 40hrs/week of work while salaried. The company does not provide raises without promotion of position. The company is chronically understaffed with high turnover rate. This leads to even higher work loads with minimal compensation. High levels of risk mitigation expected for newly licensed staff with minimal clinical support on decisions made. Excessive and redundant paperwork, more so than similar companies, requiring LPHA positions to spend majority of time completing paperwork rather than providing direct clinical care. Poor management skills on all levels of management.
