Pros

People are nice. Lower level management is helpful and understanding. Person centered culture.

Cons

Mandatory on call is terrible. Paperwork is incredibly repetitive and neverending. A month in, I was behind on my documentation, but seeing all my clients and making progress. I was informed that the LPHA role was not really intended to provide clinical care, it was just to use the license to rubber stamp the work actually being done by underpaid outreach workers. Even before COVID, I would often go months without actually seeing many of my clients in person. I spent a tremendous amount of time talking ABOUT clients with their families, group home staff, outreach workers, hospitals, psychiatrists, etc, but next to none actually interacting with them directly. I am essentially an office worker that generates masses of emails, documentation, and phone calls about hypothetical clients that other people tell me about. Everyone is underpaid, turnover is constant, everyone is constantly behind on their work. No team is fully staffed, and they keep telling you "this is just coverage, until we get more staff", but by the time someone new comes in, someone else has left, so it's an endless, pointless, joyless crisis.

Pros

Great training department, and good values, though they don’t put much in practice.

Cons

Hiring practices don’t make sense. They hire tons of per diems for one unit but make one of them permanent, therefore taking over hours for the hired per diems. They have the worst communication I have ever seen in the workplace.
