Pros

The pay was good initially.

Cons

They prefer to hire people with little to no aviation experience. So if you’re desperate or just starting out. you might consider VG. You’ll find some very uninformed people here, and often, they rise quickly to lead positions with no qualifications. They had a tech training lead who claimed that running a fiberglass strand through a flame would turn it into carbon. No, the flame won’t turn one element into another through alchemy. He lost credibility with some new hires. Amusingly they display some large reproductions of 1960s NASA drawings of Apollo and other successful space technology, as if they’re building on that. But the 60-year-old technology was far more advanced than what VG is doing today. As many others have noted, VG is filled with toxic people. They make it hard for employees who genuinely want to get work done. The cliques of nasty coworkers will take a toll on your health. Unless you become part of the problem, then you’ll think it’s great. Anyone considering accepting a job here should seriously consider the business goal. How many customers do they have? If the company sells 12 tickets a year, that’s not a sustainable plan. No job security here. At least an hour to drive to work. You could ride the shuttle, but you may not enjoy the crowding on uncomfortable seats, and it takes longer, as you must drive your own car to the boarding area, and reverse the process at the end of the shift. When it’s time to move on don’t bother giving two weeks’ notice. HR will not extend you the same courtesy. They stoop to sending employees an email telling them they’re laid off. Dozens have been laid off this way, two or four at a time over a period of many months. Some were laid off 3 months after hiring. Think about that before signing an apartment lease. When you’ve had enough and a better offer comes along, just send them an email and walk away. Leaving VG is like finally breathing fresh air.

Pros

People and communities are wonderful. It is a good brand to work under. Hybrid schedule is great

Cons

Zero promotion opportunities. Go get experience, but do not expect them to promote you in any way. They will only promote people they like. Brand name is only good thing. management are silo from people who are doing the actual work. VP and directors will yell at you and embarrassed you during an executive meeting.
