      There are some really great students and faculty

      Upper Admin is unlikely to understand the day to day in the classroom and only thinks about their bottom line, rather than the people who work for them.

      Pros

      They care about the employees. There are multiple efforts to support everyone, it is a welcoming environment, HR is very supportive.

      Cons

      VCU is incredibly bureaucratic and poorly ran. Things move slow, very slow. More slow than normal universities should. It isn't just "oh this is academia, things move slow." It's legitimate poor management across multiple levels of leadership.
