      I really like to work here as a state employee. Some of my co-workers are very helpful but sometimes there can be some gossup about others.

      Cons

      I do not like my schedule and payscale working at Virginia Commonwealth University. I feel that I work so much but get paid less and its annoying.

      Pros

      They care about the employees. There are multiple efforts to support everyone, it is a welcoming environment, HR is very supportive.

      Cons

      VCU is incredibly bureaucratic and poorly ran. Things move slow, very slow. More slow than normal universities should. It isn't just "oh this is academia, things move slow." It's legitimate poor management across multiple levels of leadership.
