Pros
VCU is an evergrowing campus of great people and even better educational opportunities. The students have kept me for years and I have established great relationships with administrative staff and faculty. The fluidity of information and knowledge sharing about the campus networks of students, faculty, and staff is unmatched and invaluable. I've been at VCU for over five years and in several capacities. I foresee no desire to vacate my position in the near future. There's plenty of career and educational advancement opportunity here.
Cons
The value of diversity at VCU is understated often times and not included in many policy decisions. The high volume of students and organizational commitments tend to result in voluminous work loads that are not centralized (regarding the organizational structure).
