Cons
Lack of opportunities for internal growth--the only way to advance is to apply for another position. There is lack of loyalty here...no guarantee that if you put in time and effort you will be rewarded for those efforts if applying for another position in same Department. Parking expensive and often far from work location (you won't be running any errands on your breaks). Starting to adopt very draconian attitudes towards time flexibility-but again this varies depending on where you are working.
