      Pros

      Great leave package, good people. Lots of opportunities for collaboration across departments. Promotes a good work/life balance.

      Cons

      Understaffed, very low pay with very small increases. Can be very stressful because of limited resources.

      Pros

      They care about the employees. There are multiple efforts to support everyone, it is a welcoming environment, HR is very supportive.

      Cons

      VCU is incredibly bureaucratic and poorly ran. Things move slow, very slow. More slow than normal universities should. It isn't just "oh this is academia, things move slow." It's legitimate poor management across multiple levels of leadership.
