      Great coworkers, meaningful work, flexible schedule.

      Cons

      They haven’t raised the pay for this position for 11 years, even though it is difficult work that not everyone can do. Shifts constantly end early and you do not get paid for the full time you were booked. It is not financially feasible to work this job without a second job as well.

      Pros

      They care about the employees. There are multiple efforts to support everyone, it is a welcoming environment, HR is very supportive.

      Cons

      VCU is incredibly bureaucratic and poorly ran. Things move slow, very slow. More slow than normal universities should. It isn't just "oh this is academia, things move slow." It's legitimate poor management across multiple levels of leadership.
