      Good job for students Great scheduling flexibility that accounts for class schedule Fun work environment Friendly employees Close to campus

      Poor pay because it is a state job Sometimes training is not adequate Patrons can be a pain few employees don't take job seriously

      Great benefits and work life balance. Enjoy alot of the people I work with.

      Lower pay. But makes up for it in benefits.

      Pros

      They care about the employees. There are multiple efforts to support everyone, it is a welcoming environment, HR is very supportive.

      Cons

      VCU is incredibly bureaucratic and poorly ran. Things move slow, very slow. More slow than normal universities should. It isn't just "oh this is academia, things move slow." It's legitimate poor management across multiple levels of leadership.
