Pros

Flexible hours; as long as the work gets done, I can come to campus at any time. The department has been great for me at making sure your funding is covered each semester.

Cons

As expected of a graduate student, there are a lot of hours needed to get work done. On a grad student salary, there is no overtime pay as expected, but my advisor is very reasonable regarding work and encourages work-life balance.

Pros

- easy work - Flexible timing and can work remotely

Cons

- Assigned a deadline of 2 weeks to grade about 72 or 144 assignments. Should have proper time management skills while managing the academics. Although it is easy work.

Pros

The experience was great. The PI was amazing and kind and I learned a lot, definitely would do it again. It yielded great results for me such as publication. I recommend for medical school or graduate school.

Cons

Difficult to justify if you don’t plan to have a research career, graduate or professional school because the pay is lower than other positions available in Blacksburg.
