Pros

Decent education and a very nice campus. Overall lovely students.

Cons

Assistants are being treated like dogs (literally, see also "TAs are like dogs; sometimes you get a good one and sometimes you get a bad one, but they are usually cute" -A CS prof) and left to starve with a +$2k monthly salary, -$340 monthly comprehensive fee and a MANDATORY health insurance for I forgot how much.

Pros

- easy work - Flexible timing and can work remotely

Cons

- Assigned a deadline of 2 weeks to grade about 72 or 144 assignments. Should have proper time management skills while managing the academics. Although it is easy work.

Pros

The experience was great. The PI was amazing and kind and I learned a lot, definitely would do it again. It yielded great results for me such as publication. I recommend for medical school or graduate school.

Cons

Difficult to justify if you don’t plan to have a research career, graduate or professional school because the pay is lower than other positions available in Blacksburg.
