      good work environment, casual and respectful, many benefits which are high caliber great co-workers

      Cons

      a little lower pay than private industry and pay raises are not given every year. a little bureaucratic in nature

      Pros

      The experience was great. The PI was amazing and kind and I learned a lot, definitely would do it again. It yielded great results for me such as publication. I recommend for medical school or graduate school.

      Cons

      Difficult to justify if you don’t plan to have a research career, graduate or professional school because the pay is lower than other positions available in Blacksburg.
