Good career opportunities as lot of people leave this company in short time. so lot of vacant positions all along the company. Good starting pay for fresh grad. Great gym in the same building of calgary office and you can pay from your benefits.
Cons
I joined this company when moved from saudi aramco with 20 year of processing experience. They kep me for 3-5 months and let me go. I moved with my family to a new country and after few month they realise I am not good enough, Reason I question too much. They need people who can keep their head down and work. You are slave to management. New ideas are always disregarded. Senior people dont get much respect they can fire you any time . Chinese management at Calgary is making this company unbearable to work. They let young bright people go easily too They are not realising the reputation of company in market. HR Department which is pretty new need to understand the emotions when they let people go. They use to have great HR people till 2010 untill every one end up resigning. Now HR people only listen to management and they gossip around a lot. I have seen people who currently work there gives better review. Will not be surprise if there is mail internally to wrote good reviews about company. Overall if u can get some thing else work there but not at CGG.
