Pros

Working here will leave you so jaded, that when you eventually move, you will appreciate life and what you have that much more

Cons

- Run by psychopathic narcissists. Most people at director/supervisor level show classic signs of sociopathy/psychopathy (will not make eye contact when talking, grandiose sense of self worth, find it difficult to relate to others, inability to distinguish between right and wrong) - Employees are sycophants trying to curry favor with their bosses. Most behave like automatons produced in a Chicom factory. - Official and unofficial language of communication is Chinese /Mandarin - Bad business model/ oil industry is on its last legs - Filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy because of great corporate decisions - Not what you know but who you know which get you ahead. A little bit of psychopathy can also go a long way - Zero work-life balance (On weekends you will often find employees with their poor wives/husbands and kids running around the office) - Such a well run company that they had to resort to multiple reverse splits only to be booted off NYSE (boohoo)

Pros

Viridien is a great company to work for, with a positive and professional working environment. The company has a strong international footprint, a diverse mix of nationalities and backgrounds, and a good balance of technical depth and business ambition. Colleagues are friendly, collaborative, and highly capable, and the leadership team is generally accessible and open to discussion. The work can be challenging and intellectually interesting, especially for people who enjoy technical, global, and client-facing environments.

Cons

Career progression could be much clearer and more structured. Promotion paths, development plans, and expectations for advancement are not always easy to understand, which creates uncertainty for employees who want to grow within the company. Salaries are also slightly below market average in some areas, and compensation should remain competitive to retain strong talent. Like many global technical companies, priorities can also shift quickly, so clearer communication and consistency would help.
