Pros

Usual basic big company benefits. (dental, private insurance, pension contribution) Have something to fill your resume for the first job. The colleagues and other people on the team were nice and supportive.

Cons

Very low salaries. Managers have little to no technical knowledge in ML yet very vocal about their wrong opinions. They pretend to listen to your opinion and then continue the same thing they were doing before even when you show them its wrong. Then force you to do the same thing. The company is run with the mindset and organization of a factory from 100 years ago not a modern tech company. Especially when it comes to how the employees are treated. Generally a terrible place for career growth.

Pros

Viridien is a great company to work for, with a positive and professional working environment. The company has a strong international footprint, a diverse mix of nationalities and backgrounds, and a good balance of technical depth and business ambition. Colleagues are friendly, collaborative, and highly capable, and the leadership team is generally accessible and open to discussion. The work can be challenging and intellectually interesting, especially for people who enjoy technical, global, and client-facing environments.

Cons

Career progression could be much clearer and more structured. Promotion paths, development plans, and expectations for advancement are not always easy to understand, which creates uncertainty for employees who want to grow within the company. Salaries are also slightly below market average in some areas, and compensation should remain competitive to retain strong talent. Like many global technical companies, priorities can also shift quickly, so clearer communication and consistency would help.
