Pros
The pay seems to be high upon date of hire.
Cons
Unfortunately, the company's approach to handling employees with disabilities raised concerns. There seems to be a pattern of dismissing individuals who disclose disabilities after experiencing sudden problems that weren't present before the accommodations were requested. Moreover, there are concerns about the retention of toxic individuals in leadership positions. It appears that some leaders who contribute to a negative work environment are not held accountable for their actions. The company's practices of disguising layoffs as performance-based firings without substantial data to support such decisions add to the overall unease. The chronic understaffing further exacerbates the work environment, with employees being expected to work long hours without corresponding pay raises, despite significant increases in workload and responsibilities. Overall, my time at Virta Health was marked by these challenges, and it's important for potential employees to be aware of these issues before considering opportunities within the company.
