Pros
It is very fulfilling to those with a ministry mindset to work with and for (and pray with and for) churches that are reaching out to their communities. Every employee gets to do interesting things and work on interesting projects, in a variety of locations, with people that are generally motivated by something other than money.
Cons
There are no good and consistent tools or processes, "firm-wide standards" are not very well thought out for nationwide application (very California-centric, when they exist at all), they change often, and are only communicated to a few, and then they are applied haphazardly. Working in a satellite (not Irvine headquarters) office can be frustrating, since teams are held to a higher standard, but then not given the cred that teams on projects in Irvine get. On the up-side, the teams in the satellite offices seem to like each other more and work better together than the teams in Irvine.
