Pros

They will give you a yearly $50 Christmas bonus

Cons

It's a new plantation working with this owner she thinks bc caregivers need a job that they should tolerate mistreatment from racist evil hurtful clients who pretend not to realize what they are doing bc they have rheumatoid arthritis, dementia or some other ailment that keeps them in pain so they strike out abusively to caregivers. They keep cases that should be in skilled nursing facilities beyond the HHA skill set having them use equipment like cough assist. Client has diabetes and a neurological condition in which she does not have the ability to hold her trunk up something like ALS so if her sugar level is low HHA must give her 4 glucose tabs and she can't even swallow sometimes instructed by the nurse to crush them. One owner is almost never around always out of town visiting her family . Even clients have complained that she is not a nice person and she is phony.

Pros

Okay pay, flexible shifts, weekly pay

Cons

The company will not only fire you but also act as if your wrong for advocating for your patient who states they don't want to take their Xanax something that is taken as needed but your relief aide works overnight and is literally trying to force it upon the client so they can sleep their whole shift. Also they may have you do something I now know should've never happened which is with hold the clients narcotics meds for "their safety" even though the client is of sound mind and can administer the medication to themselves appropriately and this will most likely make your client very upset with you rightfully so but your just trying to do what VA staff has directed you to do and finally you may end up getting assaulted by a stranger that let's themselves into your clients home yelling demands at you and the client and getting irate with you and you don't even know who they are on your first day don't expect VA to protect you from a situation they should've never let happen no matter how well you did your job they still will just quietly let you go because you don't really matter in the grand scheme of it all work where you want but if you choose here just remember you were warned!
