Pros
Where do I start? The culture at Vistex was wonderful. There was open collaboration, teamwork, integrity and trust. The pay was great. Benefits are also very good. Communication is key in an organization and from the top down starting with the CEO they get an A+ for this. The professional development opportunities and training the company offers are top notch which you can always continue to learn and grow. The social events, kick off meetings, team building events and softball games were key to employee engagement and really boosted morale and overall culture. I personally had an excellent boss, along with excellent leadership within my respective area. Usually people leave companies because of their boss but that was not at all the case and was the complete opposite for me given another opportunity I was offered from an industry I used to be in for years prior to Vistex. My boss and direct leadership team was always supportive, communications were realistic and they provided excellent guidance. All in all - a great company to have been a part of and which is continually growing.
Cons
Not too many to mention here - I would encourage some type of employee recognition and rewards program - manager to peer or peer to peer more importantly as some employees truly go above and beyond and it would've been great to have been able to recognize say via a points based system a fellow co-worker who truly goes above and beyond for a project/customer. 2nd point - when it comes to internal projects to improve product and service offerings -competing priorities and customer needs (which yes come first) will always slow progress so there needs to be a better way to get to done faster if you want to continue to enhance the products and services within the offering. Project deadlines are given but there is little to no accountability or systematic approach to realistically reaching that deadline.
