-Low pay for everything we’re expected to do, despite each of our many years of prior healthcare experience and how “essential” we are to the company -Depending on which practice line you get hired for (Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, etc,) your work/life balance will differ by a lot. Some practice lines have their P. A’s working every weekend, some make it really hard to even take PTO without first getting your days covered, and some actually encourage you to take PTO and have a better work/life balance. It’s really the luck of the draw. -no professional development opportunities -No career advancement: difficult to transition into a different role within the company, if that is one of your ultimate goals
