The Social Services department, specifically the Case Management department is an absolute nightmare. Case Management is always a tough gig and the leadership there makes it even more difficult through their disorganization and lack of accountability. Lack of staffing forces current staff to over-burden themselves (for the mission!!!) in order to serve clients, but there are more clients than the current staff can manage and clients are being directly harmed because of it. Working the on-call role several days a week and cannot count the number of clients who have not had their rents paid due to an unfit supervisor. When confronted, no accountability is shown.
The HR department, oh I'm sorry it's called the "Champion Resource Center" is in just as bad a shape. In less than two months, I've been re-assigned to 3 "business partners" because staff continue to quit.
And finally, the CEO has resigned after being investigated for "interactions with champions"; staffed were informed by the interim CEO that we all need to "close ranks" and not discuss this with anyone, but anyone doing this work knows that accountability matters, but instead they are invested in pushing this under the rug so the money can keep flowing!
