Pros

Vivint has many benefits to employees, including free lunches, a full gym, and a doctor's office in the office. They have several parties and events for employees. The pay rates seem fair.

Cons

Vivint relies on door-to-door sales for almost all of their products so the huge majority of their employees are young people in their early 20s. This means that the majority of the employees are probably on their parent's health plans and don't need company insurance. This means that despite having a large workforce, Vivint can't (or won't) negotiate good rates for health insurance. The insurance I had there was the most expensive I've ever had and it was an awful plan that wasn't accepted in many places. Healthcare isn't the only benefit problem. Vivint didn't offer a 401k match or HSA match. Vivint also had no qualms about requiring long hours of employees resulting in 80 or 90 hour weeks being the norm. The end result is that the company is a great place to work for a young door-to-door salesperson, but not a viable option for adult professionals.

Pros

Great company, lots of perks! The schedule is consistent; busy and slow seasons make the work predictable. There is always something to do, so if you like to stay busy, then this position is great for you. The team is relatively small, so everyone is close!

Cons

No growth opportunities. Seems like the 1Stop department in general gets pushed to the side; there is no recognition for the work you do.
