Pros
Good and steady company and great for getting experience in healthcare. Benefits are on par with most workplaces I have seen. Solid bonus if you are able to get one.
Cons
Pretty difficult to move from one job to the next within the company. You are hired and that is pretty much where you will stay. The business unit I was moved to after they LAID OFF a portion of the company was very toxic. I agreed to learn a new job type to be a good employee and help out another team and was yelled at for making mistakes while I was learning and was talked down to/put down through the entire process. This ultimately pushed me out the door. The way they brought in a consultant who decided to lay off a bunch of key managers was really not thought through. I know of countless employees who's manager was laid off so the company just shoved them under a new manager who had no idea what the employee did thus destroying the effected employee's work flow. The echoes of this decision are still going on and it is over a year later. My job went from being fulfilling and I was exceeding expectations to my new boss communicating I was slacking for finishing all the work I was given but not doing other work which I still do not know what he was referring to. Senior leadership is severely out of touch with the company. It also takes forever for the company to do anything the promised. This includes and is not limited to updating programs needed to do your everyday job, getting you projects you were promised to work on, changes in benefits, etc. I’m talking months to years. But if they need to lay you off it won’t be so slow. I would have suggested working here a couple of years ago but now I say look elsewhere.
