Pros
Vizient does to a great job with DEI, although I am starting to see discrimination against white people in order to gain more diversity. As hard as they try though, it is still not reaching the senior executives. The hybrid work policy is great, however do not look for ANY exceptions to be made if you are unable to make it to the office on your scheduled office day. Pay is very competitive. Overall benefit offerings are good, but still only offers a high-deductible health insurance plan. PTO starts at 5 weeks/year which is definitely a plus and the company definitely TRIES to let you unplug during PTO, however that can vary based on your position and leader.
Cons
I worked at Vizient for a long time and was the happiest in my career. There were great opportunities for advancement, learning new skills and broadening you experience. However, over the last few years a great emphasis has been place on "transformation" and "doing more with less." This has caused several rounds of mass layoffs with no consideration to performance or tenure. Some of the top performing 20+ year veterans have lost their jobs. For those that survived, many are leaving as "job security" is now non-existent. The workload for those remaining has also increased and I feel quality has gone downhill has a result. If you have an issue with a co-worker or another leader, forget about it. HR is NOT there to help employees and I have seen many people dismissed when reporting violations, bullying or even unethical situations.
