The students are a handful, but all behvior is a form of communication.
Cons
The Voices Senior Leadership team could have done way more to support and train their first year teachers. The payroll /business policies were shady. Although we were "salary" employees and not allowed to earn overtime, we were constantly being harassed about being 15 minutes late or leaving 15 minutes early and forced to used our sick time/PTO to cover partial day absences or get at least 2 hours deducted from our pay even if it was only an hour or less that we needed to leave early. They refuse to discipline students with suspensions or expulsions even if they are putting others at risk and bring on any substitute that will take the job, even if they are not treating our students right. They offer "stipends" but don't pay them out as such, they are reluctant to provide proper itemized documentation showing were money is being pulled from (deducted) from wages/ stipends.
