Pros
The perks (if/when you get a chance to enjoy them) and a people and culture team that do their best to provide a break from ordinary days.
Cons
If you're a Type-A creative person with a broad perspective, or innovative by nature, then you will most likely not enjoy working at Volusion. However, if you're comfort zone is in a bureaucratic, by-the-book only, no opportunity for growth as you chain yourself to the idea that the CEO wants to be a "cool" company instead of an inventive and original one, then hop aboard! The truth is that Volusion is a composite of red flags. If you decide to work here you'll notice the high turnover, the lack of local talent (as most are hired right out of college or from out of town) and a desire to provide a product that has either been far surpassed by the top competition or remained in step with the direct competition, destined to be overtaken any day now. You will receive conflicting advice and instruction from management, plus a workload that effectively eliminates most of your work/life balance. You can drink the Volusion Kool-Aid if you choose as that is what is rewarded in a highly corporate environment such as this, or you can find a company that values your talent.
