Pros

good pay exciting product to manufacture hard working, dedicated employees

Cons

-upper management does not get along; lacking strong leadership-- there's always another dept to blame -despite being a part of a global company, mobility within the volvo group is limited. even within the plant itself, most people have been in the same role or dept. for 3 or more years- employees are not encouraged to grow by getting exposure to other areas of the business. -senior union employees have a strong influence over management. Creating work standards and enforcing discipline is extremely hard- even for simple things like absenteeism, drug/alchohol violations—it’s very hard to fire a union employee which is sad when there are a lot of good people out there who want jobs. some employees in the union seem to take their good job for granted. -lack of investment in the plant and IT systems makes improving and competitng in the 21st centruy a challenge

Pros

Really inclusive environment and most of campus is already with ABW - activity based workplace (flexible seating).

Cons

Sometimes due to the very inclusive environment, decisions can take a little longer.

Pros

* Not micro-managed * Friendly working environment * Competent and well-versed supervisors * Fruitful experience for those who seek the work (It won't always come to you as part of your role is to aid the Maintenance engineer in his work)

Cons

* Lack of a set plan for interns to follow to gain experience (past excel documentation)
