Pros

Most of the people are authentic and committed. Maxor/MXP at its heart is a company meaning to treat its employees well as they grow a successful business. I loved my job for the first few years I worked there. I am incredibly grateful to some leaders and the incredible growth in my skills and confidence.

Cons

Others, however, in the member services department, operated on favoritism which created a toxic environment. For my position, there was a change from a trust in my ability to do my job to being micromanaged. Long hours were required as job duties continuously increased. A quick change from a small, local company created change we were unable to adapt to due to constant changes in leadership and policy. Too many changes in a short period of time caused increase in turnover. Many felt a sense of job insecurity, including me.

Pros

Great benefits. Quarterly bonuses (if you qualify).

Cons

Call center. Don’t do it to yourself. Shift bids company will tell you shift bids are based on performance - they aren’t. They’re based on the order of the shifts you select. For example let’s say you’re ranked #37 and someone else gets #40. If you put a shift you didn’t really want as your #67 and the individual who got #70 put a shift you’d actually really rather have, you will get the shift you put, not the better shift. Therefore it’s not performance based at all. If you’re out for surgery or having baby, etc, you will get a horrible position for the shift bid. The company will not prepare you for the overwhelming volume during shift changes where you do get thrust into a horrible shift like Thursday to Sunday, a shift that puts you on the busiest days of the week and, depending on your hours, the busiest times of the day. You’re just thrust into it. Employees can be very rude.
