Cons
There is a strong personal 'friendship' among several of the management team members, including the VP and HR. If you will not be their puppet, you will be targeted. During my tenure at WESCO, I've seen numerous hard working, dedicated employees targeted and ultimately either resign or terminated because they have 'crossed' one of those within the 'friendship' circle wrong. That circle of friends in management will do any and everything they can to keep the power pull in their favor....even if it's unethical. There is a lack of support from management if you are not a favored employee. Little to no training is provided--sink or swim mentality. From the Houston branch alone, there have been at a minimum of 50 employees either resign or be terminated within the past 4 years. We used to keep a running list of employees who separated from the Houston location, but stopped keep track because it became out of control. Morale is at an all-time low; people do not come to work and even remotely enjoy being in the building. The tension can be cut with a knife. Lack of communication between Upper Management and HR on events that have taken place, leaving the entire group walking on eggshells.
