Pros
The company has great benefits and there are some really nice and helpful, (mostly hourly) people working with this company. That’s about it for the “pros”.
Cons
“Cons”…where to start? The company takes great pride in their OHSA VPP Star program status, but at the Shasta plant where I was at, it is primarily “safety“when it works and doesn’t get in the way of what the current Plant Manager what’s to have done and when he wants it done by. At this site, the “management team” seems to be intimated by those who actually have an idea of what is going on and make every attempt to keep them under thump to hold them in their place and reward and advance only those employees that are “good little yes men”. During my 12 years at this site most of the plants management personnel position had rolled over numerous times, can’t seem to keep good folks in the top spots. When positions need to be filled it takes an extremely long time period and in the past few years not filled with the best or brightest of talent.
