Pros
Job security if you're willing to work hard and cover extra shifts. Energetic learners can advance quickly in plant operations. Emphasis on safety- all plants are certified OSHA VPP sites.
Cons
Takes forever (minimum 3 months) to fill open positions. As a consequence, plants are always running short-staffed and it's sometimes difficult to get qualified coverage to take vacation time. Sometimes advancing people to higher-skilled positions when they're not really ready just to cover the shift.
