Pros

This is a good job for a bean counter. Many varieties of retail stores to inventory without the monoteny. Not always assigned to same areas to count. Always interesting people to work with and all have a story. Local office has an excellent, and fair manager. He is never afraid to get into the inventory himself and help out. Large area to cover for inventories if you enjoy traveling. Shuttle is provided for every inventory trip originating from local office. Travel pay is provided for travel over one hour with meal expense for overnight trips.

Cons

Pay is very meager and hours of work per week is low. Don't expect this job to pay the bills. Managers from other offices are often condesending and berrating. You may have to work with these managers often as multiple offices work on one site from time to time. Some of these managers have a chip on their shoulder and often remind Inventory Associates from other offices they can be removed from a job at their discresion. This is not a 9 to 6 job. You must be very flexable with your hours, that is, you may have to report to a site as early as 4 am, or as late as 6 pm. If you cannot handle working all hours of the day, then you should not work this type of job.

Pros

WIS is such a big company with a variety of roles, there's so many ways to find what fits "you." Opportunities for growth. I personally have like all of my management team, always nice and listened to their employees. When I was an inventory supervisor, I loved the traveling and experiencing new places. Higher pay than minimum wage, and typically higher than what most places offer.

Cons

Depending on the position, hours can be on the longer side. (but this can also be seen as a good thing.) Early starting times. Certain positions sometimes have a high turnover rate. While there are a lot of possibilities for growth, sometimes it can be a little difficult.

Pros

Nothing about this job had pro's.

Cons

Terrible Management. Was aware that their top performing employee was harassing many young girls (including myself) in a very explicit way and knew of this issue and did not resolve anything. The shifts are not long due ot everyone trying to count as fast as they can due to higher pay if you do count faster, but it comes with a cost. The schedules are never consistent, and you can wish your sleep schedule goodbye. You will also be using a lot of gas for this job and will sometimes have a total drive time of 4 hours and only work 2. Awful.
