Pros

You're done with most jobs after about 4 or 5 hours. The travelling can be at least somewhat interesting. Um, some places give you free food.

Cons

This is an awful job with ridiculously unfair demands. You are expected to get as high as possible a 'CPH' (counts per hour - ie, how many units you have inventoried in an average hour of work), but all this does is promote inaccuracy and rush jobs. The fact that you can actually be *fired* for getting too low a CPH is horrifying. Management can be incredibly rude and disrespectful of associates. They do not follow company policy. They do not allow time off for unpredicted events such as personal illness or a family emergency. It is far too easy to get hired. My interview consisted of the area manager saying hello, shaking my hand, asking me if I thought I could do this job, then telling me to come in for training on Friday. For a job that demands so much of your time and so much of you physically, the pay is, to put it bluntly, garbage. $8.15 an hour is not enough compensation for the job you have to do and the time you have to spend; especially since you only get that while you're actually counting things. The rest of the time you're not even paid minimum wage. Also, the job itself - the actual counting - is mind numbingly tedious.

Pros

WIS is such a big company with a variety of roles, there's so many ways to find what fits "you." Opportunities for growth. I personally have like all of my management team, always nice and listened to their employees. When I was an inventory supervisor, I loved the traveling and experiencing new places. Higher pay than minimum wage, and typically higher than what most places offer.

Cons

Depending on the position, hours can be on the longer side. (but this can also be seen as a good thing.) Early starting times. Certain positions sometimes have a high turnover rate. While there are a lot of possibilities for growth, sometimes it can be a little difficult.

Pros

Nothing about this job had pro's.

Cons

Terrible Management. Was aware that their top performing employee was harassing many young girls (including myself) in a very explicit way and knew of this issue and did not resolve anything. The shifts are not long due ot everyone trying to count as fast as they can due to higher pay if you do count faster, but it comes with a cost. The schedules are never consistent, and you can wish your sleep schedule goodbye. You will also be using a lot of gas for this job and will sometimes have a total drive time of 4 hours and only work 2. Awful.
