Thanks so much for the positive review and candid feedback. It’s great to hear that you are encouraged to be creative in your role; we know our best ideas often come directly from employees. Supporting our employees and providing flexibility, where possible, to meet their personal and family needs is a huge priority and we’re delighted that you’ve experienced this first hand.
We appreciate your honesty and candor regarding raises. WSECU currently uses a formal evaluation process to determine annual pay increases. In cases where an employee is found to be underpaid, we review annually to bring them up to market. That said, it’s important to consider the total compensation package for employees. WSECU’s pay is competitive to the local market; we offer multiple medical plans, one of which is currently 100% paid by WSECU (this includes dependents for full time employees). Our leave is incredibly generous; you earn about 3.5 weeks of general leave in your first year and this is separate from your sick leave—wow! Additionally, WSECU may contribute 8.5% to your retirement plan. As a staff employee, you may also be eligible to earn up to 10% of your year-to-date as an incentive bonus. We feel pretty confident that taken together, our compensation package is competitive.
