Pros

I truly felt like the direct managers cared about me as an employee. they were flexible with the challenges life throws at us . They always wanted to help. The company is a great company and does so much for its members. The company is not a small credit union and has the infrastructure in place to support the members and their employees. -Awesome benefits -Great retirement contribution -Ok Vacation time/Paid time off -Diverse work environment -You get to really help people as a credit union.

Cons

Pay was a huge issue in the call center. I was there for almost 5 years and it was a constant battle to get a reasonable raise even when you exceed all of your sales and goals. The annual raise was lower than the cost of living creases I was seeing. I was in the call center and found it was not treated as fairly as the branches were with pay. The call center is not easy work. Most people can't do it. The workload kept stacking up but the pay would not increase nearly fast enough. There were a lot of turnovers because people would find better-paying work with less stress. People wouldn't show up to work most of the time due to the high-stress levels. It was nearly impossible to transfer within the company if you did not have a degree. It was like they wouldn't even consider you for positions if you were not a BA or higher. It felt like you were stuck in the contact center if that was where you began. I recommend getting on any other team outside of the contact center. The company was a great place to be.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for your candid feedback. We’re glad to know that there were so many positive aspects of your employment at WSECU! Working in a call center can certainly be a challenging role, and we recognize that our team members work hard to provide outstanding service to our members, day in and day out. We’re sorry to hear you weren’t happy with the pay. We strive to provide a competitive compensation and benefits package, partnering with outside experts who review the latest employment and market trends, and just recently we adjusted upward nearly all employees’ pay because we felt strongly about recognizing our team’s contributions. We couldn’t agree more about the importance of retaining our talent, and we love to see employees moving up and around the organization to further their careers, which happens frequently! It’s true that some roles require a certain level of education, but many other roles do not, or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis in many cases.

Pros

Members are the best part of WSECU

Cons

Not an environment that supports neurodivergent employees. People and Culture Services presents as supportive during onboarding, but once you file for accomadations or raise concerns about treatment or how policies are applied, communication can shift and become inconsistent. If you rely on clear expectations, direct responses, or consistent application of policy, be aware that those may not hold once issues are formally raised. If you come here because they are convincing at least save everything and learn employee rights, because they won't tell you those.
