Pros
The Base Salary which is the only real money you will ever see.
Cons
Worked a minimum of 10 hour days door knocking 7 of the 10 hours in a suit. When entering a "lead" into the CRM each time I would notice the same "lead" had been entered in up to 10 times by previous employees over the years. You are cold calling places that have been cold called over and over and over again. You will regularly be met by business that dislike you because once they hear the name "Worldwide Express" they become filled with distain. Commission is nearly unobtainable and what is obtainable is a joke. Co-worker had worked with Worldwide for nearly a year and had 6 accounts making a total of $70 in commission each month?!? Company was built in 1991 and hasn't updated its process since. There is absolutely no work life balance unless you plan on lying to your sales manager and instead of cold calling from 9 to 5 your out catching a matinee or bowling. You will work 10 hours minimum, you will fight traffic to get home by 7, go to sleep, wake up, and repeat. Finally my sales manager was an absolute pathological lying, sociopath, but that being said managers' cool levels vary from territory to territory.
