Pros

Good benefits Decent Pay, depending on your lifestyle

Cons

Unit Manager work long hours throughout the week. It depends on how healthy and dependable your staff. Call outs regular. At times, you will work a double shift. Some managers have worked 22 hours straight to keep the store running. Remember, you're on salary. Upward mobility to slow. Upper management wants you to stay in the Unit for a least two years. Depending on your location, recruiting people can be very challenging. WH doesn't advertise. Not even on social media. Upper management believes in the concept of "Homerun Recruiting." That means recruiting people from inside of the restaurant. UM are responsible for recruiting, hiring, and other responsibilities. You work 6 DAYS and get two days off. If it is on a holiday, you will work 7 days and 1 day off. You are expected to come back to the store to check on the team and make deposits on holiday's.

Pros

Solid pay for the industry Okay benefits Employee stock purchase plan Pretty consistent hours The actual work is difficult, but fun after you get good at it. Upward momentum is difficult, but the pay scales very well if you work your way up into management. Prepare for intense work if you do though.

Cons

They hire everyone, and your team will make or break your experience. Genuine safety concerns on 3rd shift. You need to be prepared for people to act out. Senior management only have operation management skills. They are not good "people" managers at all. Only "number" managers.
