Pros

There are no pros except that you get to deal with new people frequently

Cons

The challenges that come with working for this company are staggering. For starters no one is ever one the same page. On top of that everyone loves to micromanage people and "coach them up" (which really means to curse and belittle them until they completely feel helpless). It's just bacon and eggs people, and the company is still a billion dollar corporation. The higher management in my area has realized that corporate will let him and her do as they please. This is why they will performance plan someone even though they are making their bonuses every paycheck, but they aren't. The APD in my area finished with 8 or more demerits every period, but in spite of me always making my bonuses put me on a performance plan for petty reasons such as 1) Embracing the culture (AKA doing more dishes) 2) I was put on a 10 DAY performance plan because we had 2 stores under 100% people quota, and they were on track and were 100% the following week. It is a bully culture. On where people fee they need to bring up things in your life outside of work and either belittle you about or degrade. My father suffered from traumatic heart failure. I have never experienced anything like this with a loved one. They told us that he may only have a year or less to live and my AVP told me to "get over it, everyone has problems" This is a company that in some places like Athens and north Atlanta, it is done right. But in the middle Georgia area I beg you do not move down here and start over your life for this. These people are cruel. Even after I left they still found ways to toy around with my paycheck but not contact me as to why.

Pros

Solid pay for the industry Okay benefits Employee stock purchase plan Pretty consistent hours The actual work is difficult, but fun after you get good at it. Upward momentum is difficult, but the pay scales very well if you work your way up into management. Prepare for intense work if you do though.

Cons

They hire everyone, and your team will make or break your experience. Genuine safety concerns on 3rd shift. You need to be prepared for people to act out. Senior management only have operation management skills. They are not good "people" managers at all. Only "number" managers.
