Pros
There are great people in the Partnership but a huge chasm between 16-17 year old Saturday Partners and the long-service final salary pension Partners who remember the good old days of a 25% bonus: new blood with no reason to stay and dead wood that the company cant afford any more. Can't modernise because of old internal bills across JLP and Waitrose. The branding is slick but there is no reason to stay - it's just another supermarket that is too expensive, pretends to care about the environment but produces as much plastic and wastes as much food as the rest of them.
Cons
Took 4 months to get hired - a really poor recruitment process delayed with all sort of excuses. Noone taking ownership at management level in spite of it being Partner-owned, Partner-led. Not competitive, no longer a market leader. Terrible communication and support systems. At an interview at another branch in Henley-on-Thames last year the Store Manager referred to his own staff as "dead wood!"
