Pros

You can always get hours at busy locations, especially with the high turnover rate

Cons

You WILL be asked to work shifts extending way past 40 hours a week. In the months I worked there, I averaged about 65 hours a week.

Pros

From the start, I was """"over the moon"""" when I discovered Walden Culture valued our Officers over any client (within reason). Focus on Officer safety and more importantly, MORAL - over the money being paid to Walden; this illustrated to me that Walden is doing our industry correctly! As it should be; Setting the STANDARD! When I first came to walden I had a particular version of how the Security Industry operated. Walden showed me it could be so much better and, in my view, correct with integrity, honor, duty, and respect!

Cons

In my humble opinion, there needs to be a shake up with leadership, on the corporate level. Not being the """"knower of all things"""" of how a huge business should operate; from my stance various (managers/leaders) within the Human Resources, Information Technology, Learning & Development, and Benefits need to be HEAVILY evaluated. From my (lowly) perspective, I have interacted with multiple individuals under each of those respective departments that have expressed disappointment and/or distain with those that head said departments. Corporate is, and has been, getting WAY too """"top"""" heavy. This will only lead to toppling over later on... leading to a restructuring that already should have happened. Walden is expanding (AWESOME); with that: GREAT care needs to be considered within its management/leadership.
