Pros

The discount and co-workers are generally a good lot.

Cons

As of 2019, NO accrued paid-time off for part-timers who work less than 30 hours a week. Management said this is because they're raising wages to $15/hr. That's nice, unless you're already making close to that amount. But it's a heck of a trade off. Also, company limited amount of reward dollars to $5 per transaction. Customers and employees alike were blindsided by this decision. Many saved their rewards to use during the holidays to provide a boost to purchasing power. No more. Sad. Store is sorely understaffed and employees are stretched to the max and management isn't quiet when expectations aren't met; overtime of any kind is also a no-no. The rare new-hires aren't trained. So, the expectations are: do the job (many tasks over the course of a shift that generally require multiple people), do it well, by yourself, and do it in the time allotted, no excuses. And the manager wonders why people constantly call out, burn out, quit, and no one is applying for a job?

Pros

Can be a fun environment. All in whom your staff is. Operating photo was fun and building projects for the customers. Learning about pharmacy operations.

Cons

Work life balance and low pay for what is expected. Not having enough payroll to effectively run a store. My store ran FE on a 320 hour a week budget. That was barely enough to get buy and meet the expectations put out by the company. I was never able to keep a full leadership staff. When a leader called out, I had to stay. There were days I was called away from my own dinner table. SM's were forced to be in the pharmacy for more than half of their day regardless as to what is happening in the FE. I worked over 50 hours a week and barely got to spend time with my family. If I wasn't at the store I was getting a phone call and having to go back to the store.
