Pros
Competitive benefits package, including profit sharing. Has since toned down the degrading working conditions (I'd rather not revisit the details). Job culture is a LOT more laid back now, allowing for a less stressful workflow. Major culture changes, added to the digital upgrades really seem to have turned things around. The "new" touchscreen cash registers have decent security protocols, so it's not 100% on the employee to investigate illegitimate customers. Very comfortable work environment.
Cons
Almost TOO laid back. If coworkers can't be bothered to offer support when you're overwhelmed with customers, well...tough. Teamwork, as a theme, is slowly becoming a lost art at my store. But this can change. Also the pharmacy has effectively inhibited the store operations, resulting in unavailable management staff, front-end support, etc. We're all working hard, and Pharmacy techs are no different. But that department is due for reform.
